How has receiving a DTES Small Arts Grant supported your development as an artist?
Helped me get some work out into the public. Last year i printed 18 prints of two canvases on homelessness-social control-human rights and distributed to attendees at the art show free of charge.
How has DTES Small Arts Grants helped DTES artists?
DTES grants help identify artists working in and around the Downtown Eastside. Local residents and support workers also begin to recognize them as artists. This boosts confidence and production.
How has DTES Small Arts Grants impacted the community?
Makes the community tighter knit in that we recognize each other once we have worked together to hold a show.
