My name is Rosa Chan. I have created art for many years. I have focused on drawing and painting recently since I started drawing at Carnegie Community Centre 4 years ago. I enjoy drawing because it helps me feel relaxed and comfortable.
In addition to receiving three DTES Small Arts Grants Awards, I have also participated in the Oppenheimer Park Community Art Show at Gallery Gachet and last year’s Art Book.
How has receiving a DTES Small Arts Grant supported your development as an artist?
It enabled me to take art classes, which I enjoy. I like to improve my skills. When I am with other artists I feel relaxed, comfortable, and happy.
